Happy birthday Gentilini: 125 years yet well preserved!
In occasion of this important objective and on the eve of the event organized to celebrate the company’s 125 years, the mayor of Rome, Ignazio Marino, came to visit us. He visited the offices, the production plant and the museum, greeting and chatting with the production staff and the office staff. In thanking him for his most welcomed visit, we would like to recall the words of esteem and affection that he addressed to us.
“Gentilini is a very important company in our city’s panorama – Marino commented – the wonderful adventure began in 1890 and it is an example not only for our city, but for our country. Since the company does not utilize colorants, preservatives and palm oil in its products, they are very genuine products. Some of the biscuits, such as the Novellini, are still produced with bronze plates, which is a great honor to our city. I am very happy to bring a greeting from Rome today to those who work here – he added. When I moved to Rome when I was young, my mother began buying Gentilini biscuits for our breakfast. I grew up with that flavor and then I became an exporter in the United States: I always put a few boxes of biscuits in the suitcase. Even at my house today, if you open the kitchen cupboard, you will find the biscuits. There is a personal bond, but what counts is Gentilini’s bond with the city. A company – concludes Marino – that was able to not only preserve the production characteristics that make it unique, but that has also expanded on an international level”.
